Typically, an asset that is considered an “alternative” investment is one that does not fall into one of the traditional categories of cash, stocks or bonds. For clients that have latitude to be in the market for these assets, we have access to platforms that can open up an array of investment options. These platforms allow our clients to gain exposure to investment opportunities that may include options and futures, commodities, hedge funds, real estate and various derivatives, among others.
Clients that tend to have demand for these assets are those whose principle investment sum is high enough to warrant diversification beyond the traditional asset classes. In extending past the scope of the products we offer, these needs are generally most sufficiently met through our strategic collaborations with various established companies whose platforms have higher minimum investment requirements.
